![]() ![]() But I guess tomorrow really is never promised, RIP. It's human nature and it's not like I'm asking/bringing it up to her family and friends. Thoughts are welcome, and if you think this is "too soon" or this post is "wrong", that's your right. So again I don't really know but kind of wonder.I did find one obscure site I can't find anymore that suggested she had "family problems" without directly saying it related to her passing, the few other sites I found that even speculate at all seem to suggest that maybe she had a sudden heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke or aneuyrism, similar to Channel 7 newscaster Lisa Colagrossi who had no outward sign of any health issues and suddenly died of an aneuyrism in 2015 at age 49. One reason I don't want to wait to ask is this story is probably going to fade soon CBS's national morning show is nowhere near as popular as Good Morning America or Today, so their NYC affiliate weather staff don't get the national exposure and fame that say Al Roker, Janice Huff, and Lee Goldberg get. I don't think any of the people who would know me if I posted there who were close to her are here, but as such even here I decided to post on the NYC forum instead of the Westchester one in the hopes I'll be a little more unknown. I have been reluctant and nervous to post about this thought anywhere, especially on social media as it might be seen as "too soon" or tacky she is from my hometown and I used to know her family well (her parents were at my wedding a quarter century ago), but have not been in touch in recent years (I just missed being in high school with her as I am 4 years older, however she was my Facebook and Instagram friend). Their mannerisms when reporting it and tributing her make me think they know something we don't. I understand her coworkers are all shocked to the core and miss her deeply, but again it still makes me wonder in a dark corner of my mind. 'She was a life well-lived, well-loved, and well-adored,' said another family friend. The couple shared a young daughter, Grace. ![]() I hope not and it's only a dark, fleeting thought in my mind as there was no public evidence about any mental health issues with her but ironically what makes me wonder is the media (and especially channel 2) keeps emphasizing, what a happy life and family she had. Elise spent 16 years working at CBS 2, where she met her husband, CBS photographer Graig Henriques, whom she married in 2013. This has made me kind of secretly wonder if there's something nefarious here, like did she commit suicide or something. We are now past her funeral and burial and I've noticed they are still being quite hush hush about her cause of death, all that's officially been said is she passed "suddenly and unexpectedly" at an unnamed "local hospital". I was a big fan of hers (and sort of knew her personally as I say later on). As anyone who watches "over the air" TV news, especially channel 2, knows, a little over a week ago weatherperson Elise Finch suddenly and unexpectedly (something they kept saying in reporting it) died at the way too young age of 51. ![]()
